A pilot project for the deployment of the RITM³ digital platform for the intelligent transport system (ITS) of the Leningrad Region

OBJECTIVES

To test the possibility of integrating the digital platform with existing subsystems, as well as with the created transport macromodel and developed transport planning documents.

The pilot project lasted 3 months and was implemented for the Committee for Roads of the Leningrad Region

SOLUTION

All data collected during the project were uploaded into the RITM³ digital platform, which included the modules "Digital Transport Master Plan", " Situational Center" and "Transportation Planning and Modeling".

The modules allowed for detailed monitoring of the state of the transport system, introduction and analysis of measures according to transport planning documents, which were developed using the mathematical transport macromodel of the Leningrad region and the digital platform RITM³.

Integration with the following subsystems was performed:

• Automated Subsystem for Outdoor Lighting Control;
• Automated system of meteorological support;
• Subsystem of traffic light control RIPAS;
• Automated system of data processing of automatic traffic en-forcement camera of administrative traffic rules violations;
• Subsystem of register of highways;
• Mathematical transportation model of the Leningrad Region.
